We are becoming a net zero business. This isn't greenwashing - and it isn't just about planting some trees on the other side of the world. We're going to do it properly.
We already use 100% renewable energy and we're very careful over who we buy from and what we consume. We will shortly switch to an electric vehicle and will ramp up our stance on 'reduce, reuse and recycle'. We will reduce our emissions are far as possible, then we will offset the rest.
Cop 26 was very disappointing to witness and it's clear that we can't wait on our Government - or any other world leader - to enact the change we need. The world can't wait and neither can we.
Drones allow filmmakers the chance to capture stunning imagery to enhance the stories we tell. We use smooth, elegant and cinematic shots, allowing us to offer a unique angle in our creative work. This lovely footage below was captured during aerial practice on an early morning over Tynninghame, East Lothian. The Bass Rock rises sharply out of the water in the background.
We're very happy to confirm that we'll be working with the U.S. based distributor, 7 Palms Entertainment LLC, on our new film 'Legend's End: The Loch Ness Monster Story'. With a list of clients including Netflix, Apple TV and HBO Max, 7 Palms is an exciting company with a proven track record.
With a modern perspective on the world's greatest monster mystery, Legend's End is unlike any other Loch Ness film that's come before. Bass Rock Films will remain closely involved in the distribution and licensing and any enquiries can be addressed directly to kieran@bassrockfilms.co.uk
Isn't it lovely when a plan comes together? We're delighted to be putting the final touches to a documentary we've been working on for a couple of years. We're pretty-much at picture lock, which means we can confidently commission animation, sound design and colour. We can also jump into the studio and record some quality VO.
This is definitely one of the most enjoyable moments in the production process. Thankfully we've been blessed to work with some of the most talented filmmakers in Scotland, making our jobs so much easier.
A huge thanks to Jim at Greenstone Audio for the thoroughly enjoyable recording session this week. Stay tuned for details of the project.
2021 is the year to be kind to yourself.
After such a testing 12 months we need to learn to give ourselves time and space for the things we enjoy. We also need to resist beating ourselves up if we haven't achieved everything we'd hoped we would. It'll be ok.
We can continue to show kindness to others. We can tell someone that we appreciate them. We can tell someone that they did an awesome job. We have the power to put encouragement and love into our world.
